“We want a film to convince the world’s top 100 CEOs, that Empire Stores is the best place on Earth to work. Period.” This was the instruction when we were hired to produce a promotional film about Brooklyn’s prime waterfront development. After decades of sitting empty, Dumbo’s famous coffee warehouse is undergoing a complete overhaul from derelict building to a vast mixed-use universe of office space, stores, restaurants and a giant roof top. But how do you make a film about something that doesn’t yet exist? Our solution was to make up a story and invent “Matthew”, a cool tech worker who takes us through his day there. Thanks to some great helicopter filming and animated CGIs, we brought Empire Stores to life.
